What It Does
How It Works
From FamilySearch to a person workspace and AI-ready context pack in four simple steps
Open a FamilySearch Page
Go to a FamilySearch person's sources or memories page. The extension supports both capture flows.
Capture the Page
Click the extension icon, check the consent box, and start the capture. The extension will build a capture package from the page data.
Download the Capture Package
Once complete, download the JSON file or copy it to your clipboard. This contains the data needed to merge into the vault.
Import into App
Open Discover Their Stories, go to Imports, and import your capture package. Then open the person workspace to generate documents and context packs.

Download the Extension
Click the download button above to get the extension ZIP file. Extract it to a folder you'll remember (e.g., your Documents folder).
Download ZIPOpen Chrome Extensions
Open Chrome and navigate to the extensions page:
chrome://extensions/Enable Developer Mode
Toggle "Developer mode" ON in the top-right corner of the extensions page.
Load the Extension
Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted extension folder. You should see "Discover Their Stories - FamilySearch Capture" appear.
